I’ve heard about November as National Novel Writing Month. Chris Baty the founder, wrote a book called No Plot? No Problem! I’ve taken a stab at the novel, and I think the more challenging aspect is feeling like you’re writing on a deserted island…if you can’t get into the story or if the story doesn’t tell itself, every word is an extraction–like going to the dentist. That’s why I was very interested in Fast Pencil. It’s constant accountability with others who are after the same goal–50,000 words in 30 days.
